about Our hsa
As an entirely volunteer organization open to all PWES parents/guardians, the HSA depends on your help. If able, we ask families to pay "dues" annually to support our activities. Membership is automatic and no fees are required to participate. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved, many volunteer positions require clearances. Throughout the year, the HSA organizes events and programs to enhance the school experience for students, families, teachers, and staff. We hope you'll join us in supporting Penn Wynne Elementary!
So, where does the money go?
- School-Wide Programs/Events - Events like the Back to School Picnic, Taste of Penn Wynne, End of Year Fun Fair, grade level socials, and more, are free for all families to attend.
- In-School Assemblies - Cultural heritage assemblies to enhance student learning.
- Teacher Appreciation - Meals and gifts for staff to express our gratitude.
- Visiting Authors - Hosting authors/illustrators with the school library to speak and read to students.
- ISC Mini-Grants - Funding for teachers for a special project or lesson for their classroom.
